Day 1: Dehradun to Dhaula

Drive from Dehradun to Dhaula, the starting point of the trek. The journey takes you through Mussoorie and scenic mountain roads with views of rivers and valleys. Upon arrival, settle into your campsite and relax after the long drive. Dhaula is a small, peaceful village surrounded by lush greenery and mountains. In the evening, meet your trek leader and team for a briefing about the route, safety guidelines, and expectations. Enjoy dinner and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Dhaula to Sewa

Begin trekking from Dhaula towards Sewa village. The trail passes through dense forests, suspension bridges, and riverside paths. You will cross the Rupin River multiple times, enjoying its sound throughout the journey. The route offers glimpses of remote Himalayan life as you pass through small settlements. Sewa is a charming village known for its traditional architecture and temple. The campsite is set near the village, providing a cultural experience along with natural beauty. This day helps you ease into the trek while enjoying scenic surroundings.

Day 3: Sewa to Jhaka

Trek from Sewa to Jhaka, also known as the “hanging village.” The trail includes steep ascents and passes through forests and narrow paths carved into cliffs. As you approach Jhaka, you’ll witness its unique location perched on a mountainside. The village offers stunning views of the valley below. Camping near Jhaka allows you to experience local culture and enjoy breathtaking scenery. This is one of the most memorable sections of the trek due to its dramatic landscape.

Day 4: Jhaka to Dhanderas Thatch

The trail from Jhaka to Dhanderas Thatch is filled with natural beauty. You will pass through forests, meadows, and streams while gaining altitude gradually. One of the highlights is the view of the Rupin Waterfall, a massive multi-tiered waterfall that becomes more prominent as you approach the campsite. Dhanderas Thatch is a beautiful meadow located at the base of the waterfall. The campsite offers incredible views and a peaceful environment. This day is perfect for photography and relaxation.

Day 5: Dhanderas Thatch to Upper Waterfall Camp

Trek closer to the Rupin Waterfall and set up camp near its upper section. The trail becomes more adventurous with rocky terrain and snow patches depending on the season. The sound of the waterfall and the surrounding scenery create a magical experience. This campsite is one of the most scenic on the trek, offering close views of the waterfall and surrounding peaks. Spend the evening preparing for the pass crossing.

Day 6: Upper Waterfall Camp to Rupin Pass to Ronti Gad

Start early for the most challenging day. Climb steep snow slopes to reach Rupin Pass (15,250 ft). The ascent is demanding but rewarding with breathtaking views from the top. After crossing the pass, descend into Himachal Pradesh. The landscape changes dramatically to barren terrain. Continue to Ronti Gad campsite for overnight stay.

Day 7: Ronti Gad to Sangla

Descend from Ronti Gad towards Sangla Valley. The trail becomes easier and passes through beautiful landscapes and villages. Reach Sangla and enjoy the comfort of a hotel after days of trekking. Explore the valley and relax.

Day 8: Sangla to Shimla

Drive from Sangla to Shimla. Enjoy scenic views during the journey and conclude your trek with unforgettable memories.
